Postponed: Next Gen Nerf Battle: Adults & High Schoolers

Battlers in high school through adults are invited to participate in our next Adult Nerf Battle! Play Capture the Flag, Humans Vs Zombies, etc with friends and family. For the first time, we are allowing ball ammunition as well as darts. The library has the small balls and the darts on hand so no need to bring ammo with you.  Still only official modifications on blasters, no homemade mods and blasters and cannot look like real weapons.   Participants must pre-register…

Our film series for adults will continue on Monday at 2:00 p.m. in the Marshalltown Public Library’s  community meeting rooms. This “come and go” program offers the chance for kids (with a caregiver) to play with giant blocks, Legos, dollhouse, kitchen set, and more in the blue activity room. Free, no pre-registration needed. Daycare/preschools groups are asked to pre-register to bring groups of 8 or more children.

Pokemon League is for fans of the trading card game. Players bring their own cards and “battle” in an informal league setting, facilitated by volunteers. Volunteers may help players learn to play, as time permits. Players do not lose cards if they lose the battle and may earn new cards and badges through participation.
