Pokemon League

Pokemon League is for fans of the trading card game. Players bring their own cards and “battle” in an informal league setting, facilitated by volunteers. Volunteers may help players learn to play, as time permits. Players do not lose cards if they lose the battle and may earn new cards and badges through participation. Small Talk

Small Talk is an award-winning series of free classes for parents of babies ages birth to 30 months, in which you’ll learn simple strategies to talk, read, and sing more with your baby. This research-based program by LENA Start has great short term and long term benefits. Parents or a primary caregiver attends the classes in the Cafe, while library staff and trained volunteers provide childcare (if needed). This “come and go” program offers the chance for kids (with a caregiver) to play with giant blocks, Legos, dollhouse, kitchen set, and more in the blue activity room. Free, no pre-registration needed.

Storytime is held on Wednesdays at 10:15 a.m. and features songs, stories, and fingerplays on a theme. Children of all ages are welcome, with a caregiver. Daycare/preschools groups are asked to pre-register to bring groups of 8 or more children.
