Summer Reading Stamp #4 Available!

Beginning Monday, July 15th, Summer Readers can come to the Youth Desk to stamp their papers with the fourth stamp of the year! Come to the youth desk to sign up for points logs anytime throughout the summer. Points are earned by stamping your log when you visit the library. Kids Crochet Club

Crochet Club is for kids ages 10 and up to learn the basics of crochet and build skills in a casual, friendly environment. Hook and yarn provided, or bring your own if you’d like.   This “come and go” program offers the chance for kids (with a caregiver) to play with giant blocks, Legos, dollhouse, kitchen set, and more in the blue activity room. Free, no pre-registration needed. Daycare/preschools groups are asked to pre-register to bring groups of 8 or more children.

Pillowcase Project – Emergency Preparedness for Kids

The library is partnering with the American Red Cross to offer the Pillowcase Project, an emergency preparedness workshop especially for school-aged kids. Kids will learn ways for their families to be ready to stay safe in different emergency situations (tornado, fire, flood, etc.) and decorate a pillowcase that helps them remember and share what they learned. Pokemon League

Pokemon League is for fans of the trading card game. Players bring their own cards and “battle” in an informal league setting, facilitated by volunteers. Volunteers may help players learn to play, as time permits. Players do not lose cards if they lose the battle and may earn new cards and badges through participation.
