After careful consideration, the library has made the difficult decision to be closed through Sunday, April 12. We will be suspending all youth and adult programming, as well as large meeting room use, through the end of April (April 30). Our public WiFi (which works from much of the parking lot and grounds) will continue to be kept on, so that internet for communication, access to information, and for downloading content will be available for those who need it.
Small Talk is an award-winning series of free classes for parents of babies ages birth to 30 months, in which you’ll learn simple strategies to talk, read, and sing more with your baby. This research-based program by LENA Start has great short-term and long-term benefits. Parents or a primary caregiver attends the classes in the Cafe, while library staff and trained volunteers provide childcare (if needed). Each family receives snacks and a free book at each class session, with a graduation ceremony in December.
Registration is required for the 10 week session; space is limited. Please stop by the library or email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information, an FAQ info sheet, and/or to register.
