Dave Baker of the 29th State will give a program about Ghost Towns of Marshall County on Sunday, October 6 at 2:00 p.m. in the library’s community meeting rooms. Come learn how the Civil War, railroads, and the American West shaped Marshall County. Baker will delve into some of the histories of some of these former towns in Marshall County, including Bromley, Bevin’s Grove, Illinois Grove, Luray,Marietta, and Minerva. Baker will use his own photographs and a variety of historical maps from the State Historical Society to show where these communities once were.
