Ashley Macbeth & Nancy Adams: local author visits

Local authors Ashley Macbeth & Nancy Adams will be at the library this afternoon to read from and/or answer questions about their books at 2:30 p.m. They will also be at a table in the lobby before and after the brief reading to sign books for those who want to purchase one. People can come to the program, or just stop by to buy a signed book or visit with the authors.

Ashley Macbeth is the author of Ezra Gideon and the Crusaders: The Staff of Aaron, a fiction adventure book with Christian themes geared toward the tween and teen age. A graduate of both Marshalltown High School and Marshalltown Christian School, Ashley is currently a psychology student at Iowa State University.

Nancy Adams in the author of the picture book The Golden Goose of Riverside: a real goose, the true story of Goosey Goose, the beloved goose who lived at Riverside Cemetery, as well as the picture book, Transatlantic Bunny. A Chicago native, Nancy is a professor of psychology at Marshalltown Community College. She is also an assemblage artist, wife, and mother. Both picture books were illustrated and designed by Ken Shuey and David Briggs.

All three titles are available to check out. They will also be available to buy from the authors, for those who are interested in having a signed copy.
